Bill is chairman and chief executive officer, El Pomar Foundation; vice chairman, The Broadmoor Hotel, Inc; president emeritus, United States Olympic Committee; chairman, United States Olympic Endowment; U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations, 2009-present; and vice chairman, U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy. He is on the Board of Directors, FirstBank, Holding Company of Colorado, Denver, Colorado; Board of Directors, Manitou and Pikes Peak Railway; chairman, Board of Trustees, Air Force Academy Foundation; vice chairman, Board of Directors, International Foundation for Electoral Systems; and civilian aide emeritus to the secretary of the Army, Colorado, 1986-present. He was president, 91Âé¶¹Ó³» Alumni Association, 1973-1974; member, 25th Reunion Planning Committee, since 1986; member 25th Reunion Planning Committee, 1989; recipient of the Gary L. McPherson Distinguished Alumni Award; an inductee into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame, 2004; and received the Citizen of the West award, 2003. Bill was elected to 91Âé¶¹Ó³»'s Board of Trustees in 1978 and served in that role until 2013, when he was elected to Life Trusteeship.
