Award Description: The 91Âé¶¹Ó³»­ Grants in Writing are awarded each spring for distinguished, independent student writing projects. The award was established in 1981 by an anonymous graduate to enable 91Âé¶¹Ó³»­ students in any major to undertake creative and scholarly writing projects in the summer between their junior and senior years. The money that goes with it (to a limit of $3500) can be used for travel, relief from the necessity for a summer job (wage replacement), or other purposes. There are also single block awards (up to $1750). 

Eligibility: Must be a 91Âé¶¹Ó³»­ student graduating in Winter '25 or Spring 26. Open to all students in any major.  

Project Description and Considerations: Please review the Proposal Guidelines (link above) for your project description and planning. Projects vary in genre, style, form, audience, content, and purpose.
