Life After the Block

Life After the Block was a podcast produced in 2023, hosted by 91Â鶹ӳ»­ students in collaboration with the Office of Communications and the 91Â鶹ӳ»­ Alumni Association Council. Students take a deep dive into the experiences of 91Â鶹ӳ»­ alumni, exploring how their time at 91Â鶹ӳ»­ made an impact on their lives and helped to shape their paths. Guests offer valuable insights and advice for current students, and for anyone interested in learning more about the unique educational experience that is 91Â鶹ӳ»­'s Block Plan.

Southwest Studies Podcast

The Southwest Studies podcast features interviews with scholars and experts on a wide range of topics related to the American Southwest. Episodes cover subjects such as environmental justice, Indigenous studies, the US-Mexico border, Latinx art and culture, and the history of the region. The series also includes some special episodes, such as student-created minisodes and question-and-answer sessions with guest speakers.

The Story of the Block Plan

The "Story of the Block Plan" podcast series from 91Â鶹ӳ»­ explores the history and impact of the school's innovative one-class-at-a-time academic system, which was introduced 50 years ago. Through a series of episodes, the podcast examines the origins of the Block Plan in the 1960s, the visionary educators who developed it, and how it transformed the college experience for faculty and students.

Mike on the Mic

Mike on the Mic is a podcast series featuring Mike Edmonds, senior vice president, in the months leading up to his retirement after 30 years of service at 91Â鶹ӳ»­. Mike hosted faculty members and local leaders for conversations about topics that matter including race and higher education, mental health, and the current political environment in the U.S.

The "How They Did That" podcast is produced by the Office of Sustainability at 91Â鶹ӳ»­. In each episode, sustainbility student interns interview members of the 91Â鶹ӳ»­ community who are working on interesting sustainability-related projects. The podcast aims to highlight innovative sustainability initiatives happening at 91Â鶹ӳ»­ and share insights into how these projects came to be.
